Sammy

Here is Sammy framed...

As elsewhere stated, this is a portrait of Sam Houston. Fluent in Cherokee. Won independence from Mexico for Texas. Ran for President of Texas against Mirabeau B. Lamar. Whose camp stated, "Houston is a drunk." To which Houston's camp replied, "A drunk Houston is better than a sober Lamar." As Governor of Texas, his political career abruptly ended with the Civil War - when he refused to join the Confederacy.

Vote Clump this November

Just finished a drawing. Titled...

"Clump" 2016

charcoal and pastel on paper

44" x 31"

Clump does not imply that the Democratic and Republican nominees this election are identical. Their faults indeed vary. Clump deals, rather, with the current lack of idealistic gumption of Americans. One side says, "Anyone but him." The other, "Anyone but her."

Here is your candidate, America. Yes, vote the lesser of two evils this November. Vote Clump!
